52917 is specially designed for mounting thin photopolymer plates (1.14mm [0.045"] or 1.70mm [0.067"]) on compressible (foam) sleeves in flexograpic printing applications. It is a double sided tape with highly differentiated adhesion values between each side. tesa 52917 is notably well suited to application as a single piece of tape across the width of wide compressible sleeves.

Open side adhesive: Very high open side adhesion values ensure a very secure bond to the compressible sleeve.

Plate Side Adhesive: Specially tailored plate side adhesion ensures a strong bond to photopolymer plates, whilst also allowing trouble-free repositioning and removal of the plate Backing properties Due to its minimal thickness, the PET backing maximises the compressible characteristics of the sleeve Liner properties.
