CHR 2905 is manufactured from heat-resistant fiberglass cloth backing coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive on both sides. CHR 2905 is exceptionally stable at high temperatures, allowing it to withstand temperatures up to 260°C. A non-corrosive product, 2905 is used in a variety of critical electrical applications. Other characteristics include excellent abrasion and edge tear resistance and exceptional flex strength. CHR 2905 is available in both 0.178 mm and 0.254 mm thicknesses, the 0.254 mm (2905-10R) being a more abrasive-resistant, heavy-duty product.
Applications: industrial and electrical markets, widely used as high temperature masking tape for metalizing or plasma spray coatings, holding tape for components on circuit boards, inner wraps for coils, and transformers and high temperature splicing
