3M™ General Purpose PTFE Skived Film Tapes are film backing with a silicone adhesive. PTFE film provides a slick surface for general purpose, non-stick applications. Silicone adhesive provides clean removal from a variety of surfaces. Wide temperature range for performance on heated machinery and equipment. Chemical resistance enables tape to withstand many applications. Skived PTFE film tapes are more conformable than typical extruded PTFE film tapes.
Applications: Wrapping rubber laminating rollers on hot polyethylene extruders to create a release surface to help minimize clean-up; easy release surface provided by wrapping rollers, plates, belts, etc. where buildup of sticky materials and inks can occur; chemical resistant surface for sealing and masking
