Scotch® High-temperature Masking Tape 214 is good for 30 minutes at 350°F (177°C) on most surfaces. The adhesive is sulfur-free which makes it one of the few tapes that can be used on copper, silver and other precious metals. It has excellent stain resistance. Scotch ® Tape 214 complements Scotch ® Tape 213 in high temperature masking tape usage and should be evaluated at the same time. The adhesive is very firm and allows it to be used on most treated metals. It should not be subjected to outdoor exposure or prolonged periods of sunlight exposure as tape may become very difficult to remove.
Applications: Can be used in a wide variety of high heat, treated metal, and stain resistant applications. It is generally considered only when one of these factors is a problem.
