3M 9740 Double-Coated Tape
3M 9740 Double-Coated Tape
3M™ Double-Coated Tape 9740 is a 3.5 mil double coated tape utilizing a 0.5 mil (12 microns) polyester film coated on both sides with 1.5 mils (38 microns) of a high shear acrylic adhesive system. This adhesive system allows for superior bonding and conformability to irregular as well as flat surfaces, and bonds well to most substrates including most low surface energy plastics. Performance grade splicing tape for corrugators and other high temperature splicing applications.
Applications: Designed where higher heat, shear and plasticizer resistance is required. For bonding irregular surfaces, bonding to plastics and metal extrusions, bonding of decorative trim. Also for high speed flying splices where heat resistance is required.
