Tesa Tape 53490 Performance Grade Teartape
tesa® 53490 is a tensilized polypropylene teartape with an aggressive adhesive that exhibits excellent bonding on both solid
and corrugated cardboard surfaces. Because of the unique backing and its excellent tack, 53490 will not exhibit shrinkage or
“lift off” after application to corrugated cardboard. 53490 also exhibits excellent nick resistance and its high tensile strength
makes it ideal for pull tab and tearstrip applications.
Main Application
• Tear strip for industrial and consumer cartons
• For use on padded shipping envelopes, express delivery and courier envelopes
• Use on corrugated cartons and boxes
