Saint Gobain CHR 2915 is manufactured from heat-resistant fiberglass backing, and coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive. 2915 is exceptionally strong abrasion resistant tape, that provides maximum solvent resistance. It has excellent temperature resistance and is thermally stable. It can but used in applications that require continuous temperatures of up to 500F, and its abrasion resistance makes it an extremely durable product.
Applications: 2915 is a versatile tape. Applications usually range from general industry electrical maintenance to high-tempearture splicing and wrapping. Some specific applications are over-wrap on motor rewinds, protective wrapping for wire and cables and high-temperature masking tape for welding stainless steel. 2915 can also perform as a light duty plasma or flame spray masking tape.
