3M R9999 Repulpable Flying Splice System
3M™ Repulpable High Strength Flying Splice System R9999 is a repulpable double coated tape laminate with a low release split liner. Optimal application temperature range is: 70° to 100°F (21° to 38°C). Water solubility and alkali dispersability are excellent and eliminate danger of contaminating the paper mill broke with non-repulpable materials. For optimum results, firm even rub down pressure must be applied to the tape area to create the best possible adhesion between the tape and paper surface. Resistance to premature delamination during spin-up. Quick and easy application in four simple steps. Enables a smooth splice transition and no need to angle splice.
Applications: Flying splice tape for wide range of grades of paper and paperboard; High temperature temporary splicing at off machine coaters and paper converters; May not be suitable for supercalendar flying splices
