3M 9114 Repulpable Butt Splicing Tape
3M™ Butt Splicing Tape 9114 is a single-coated blue repulpable splicing tape which is covered with a center slit repulpable paper liner, and additionally laminated with a single coated non-repulpable removable masking tape strip which can be used as a positioning aid on the paper roll. • Can be used in the splicing of many coated papers > 35 lbs./3000 ft.2 , used in Offset & Rotogravure printing. It also can be used in many other finished splice applications, even with “alkaline coatings” and with stearate sizing.
Applications: Taping the “lip” and “tail” of machine re-reeler splices prior to off-machine coating of fine papers; Taping the “lip” on web offset splices and the “lip” and “tail” on safety splices; Butt splices
