3M 484 Vinyl Electroplating Anodizing Tape
3M™ Electroplating/Anodizing Tape 484 is a conformable and abrasion resistant vinyl tape for masking various surfaces during electroplating and anodizing operations. A linered version, 484L, is available for die cutting and large part application. Excellent resistance to most chemicals used in electroplating/anodizing operations. Prolonged exposure of tape to elevated bath temperatures, including hot caustics, above 170°F (77°C) may cause weakening of the adhesive bond. Tape can be used at oven temperatures up to 220°F (104°C) for 30 minutes with clean removal.
