3M 900 Repulpable Double-Coated Splicing Tape
3M™ Repulpable Double-Coated Splicing Tape 900 has a light-weight tissue coated on both sides with a blue, repulpable adhesive and furnished on a repulpable easy-release paper liner. Can be used for splicing of many LWC (light weight coated) papers, particularly for coated gravure papers. It has also performed well in many other finished splice applications, even with “alkaline coatings” and with stearate sizing. Packing in sealed plastic bags helps assure constant moisture content of unused tape.
Applications: Overlap finished splices in a paper mill (especially on many papers with LWC and other new coating formulations); Transfer (pull through) splices in Supercalenders
